6GBRICKS at the European Big Data Value Forum

Prof. Christos Verikoukis, the project coordinator, represented 6GBRICKS at the European Big Data Value Forum, which took place in Valencia, Spain, from 25th to 27th October. The European Big Data Value Forum is the flagship event of BDVA, bringing together the entire European data-driven AI research and innovation community to exchange knowledge, foster collaboration, and celebrate achievements. The 2023 edition was centered around the theme “Data and AI in action: Sustainable impact and future realities.” The event gathered industry professionals, business developers, researchers, and policy-makers from across Europe and other regions of the world to drive policy actions and advance industrial and research activities in the fields of Data and AI.

 

6GBRICKS was showcased during the ‘Metaverse enablers: moving towards virtual worlds’ session, which focused on the work of the three research projects funded by the European Commission under the SNS program Phase 1/Stream C “SNS experimental infrastructure.” The session delved into Extended Reality Applications and other enabling technologies for virtual worlds, as well as the related challenges and opportunities from the perspective of two SMEs and two European associations, AIOTI and BDVA.
