At the ETSI RIS#17 meeting in January 2025, the 6G-BRICKS project contributed to the development of standardized testing methodologies for Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS). Lenovo, working with industry partners, supported this effort, which resulted in a contribution proposing text for inclusion in the new ETSI GS RIS-008 specification. This contribution details key guidelines for characterizing RIS performance, covering areas such as operating frequency, bandwidth, beam properties, reflected/refracted power, and signal quality. 

This work supports 6G-BRICKS goals of advancing RIS-based solutions and contributing to the standardization efforts crucial for the development of next-generation wireless technologies.
