ISI/ATH had an active and inspiring presence at the Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF 2025), showcasing research and innovation in next-generation networks and services.

At Pavilion 17 – Stand 6, the ISI/ATH team welcomed representatives from Greece’s political leadership, the research and innovation community, industry professionals, and visitors eager to learn how artificial intelligence and 6G technologies are transforming telecommunications.

Highlights included:

• Live interview on ERT3’s 102FM with Konstantinos Togias, Technical Leader of SMARTECH ATHENA/ISI, discussing 6G applications, AI in infrastructure management, and the importance of European collaborations.

• Live demonstrations of research results from SNS JU projects, including how the 6G and cloud continuum can enhance VR and real-time gaming.

• Visits by key stakeholders, including:

  • Stavros Kalafatis, Deputy Minister of Development of Greece

  • Tasos Gaitanis, PhD, Secretary for Research and Innovation of the Greek Government

  • Vasileios Siadimas, General Secretary of ESPA

  • Stratos Simopoulos, President of the Committee for Research and Technology of the Greek Parliament

  • Dimitris Kouvelas, Member of the Greek Parliament

The 6G-BRICKS project was among the initiatives presented, raising awareness of how European collaborative research drives the evolution of smart networks and services.
